I’m playing the storyteller in a beautiful piece of new writing THE WILD MAN OF ORFORD, which opened at The Dukebox Theatre as part of this years Brighton Fringe Festival, written and directed by Eleanor Conlon and brought to life by Rust and Stardust productions. The show was a sell out success. THE WILD MAN OF ORFORD features an exciting combination of handmade puppets, live theatre and music and projected animation.
Orford, the Suffolk coast, 1167. A fisherman hauls up a mysterious catch: a scaly, glistening creature from the depths of the sea. Man or monster? Is the wild man barbaric or simply free from the constraints of society? A tale from English folklore of freedom, kindness, and the strange wild song of the sea.
“Imaginatively adapted…surprisingly powerful.” (The Argus)
“…a few silent minutes of true wonder.” (Animations Online)
